Transport & vehicle hire

Trucks and lorries for goods. Cars and vans for people. Booked by the trip or held on a monthly arrangement, with the rate agreed before anything moves.

The division we started with

TS Corporation began as a transport company, and it is still the part of the business the rest is built on. Everything we do — supplying cattle, moving vegetables, clearing an import at Mongla — ends with something needing to get somewhere. Owning that capability rather than subcontracting it is why we can give you a firm date.

Two kinds of hire sit under this division: goods vehicles and passenger vehicles. They are booked the same way and quoted the same way.

Goods vehicles

Open-body trucks for agricultural produce, sand, brick and construction material. Covered lorries for anything that should not get wet or dusty — sacked goods, packaged consumer items, machinery, furniture. Sizes range from small pickups for a few hundred kilograms up to full-size lorries for bulk loads.

When you enquire, the four things that determine the price are:

  1. Where it is loading and where it is going. Distance is the biggest single factor, and so is whether the destination is reachable by a large vehicle.
  2. What is being carried. Weight matters, but so does bulk. Two tonnes of steel and two tonnes of empty crates need different vehicles.
  3. Whether it is one-way or return. A return load in either direction brings the rate down, so tell us if you have one.
  4. Whether you need labour. We can arrange loading and unloading crews, quoted separately so you can see the cost.

A practical note on timing. If your load is going to Dhaka, an overnight departure almost always beats a daytime one — less traffic on the highway and an early arrival at the market. We will suggest this where it helps, but the decision is yours.

Typical goods work

  • Paddy, rice, lentils and pulses moving from Kushtia to mills and wholesale markets
  • Seasonal vegetables to Dhaka, Khulna and Jashore
  • Cattle and goats to markets, particularly through the Qurbani season
  • Construction material within Kushtia and the neighbouring districts
  • Household and office relocations
  • Onward delivery of imported cargo cleared at Chattogram or Mongla

Passenger vehicles

Private cars, microbuses and vans with our own drivers. This side of the division grew because customers who trusted us with their goods started asking us to carry their families.

  • Airport transfers — principally the Kushtia to Dhaka run for international departures
  • Family and group travel — weddings, gatherings and trips to Khulna, Rajshahi, Jashore and Dhaka
  • Business travel — day hire with the vehicle and driver at your disposal
  • Local sightseeing — Lalon Shah’s shrine at Cheuria, Shilaidaha Kuthibari, and the Hardinge Bridge at Paksey

Monthly arrangements

If you move goods regularly — a mill, a wholesaler, a contractor — a standing monthly arrangement usually works out cheaper than booking trip by trip, and it means a vehicle is held for you rather than dispatched on whoever calls first. We set a fixed rate per trip or per month, agree how much notice you will give us, and invoice once at month end. Ask us to work out what that would look like for your volume.

Before you ask

Common questions

Yes, and most of our transport work is exactly that. There is no contract to sign and no minimum number of bookings. Tell us the pickup point, the destination, roughly what is being carried and how much of it, and we will quote a single-trip rate.

We provide the driver. Every vehicle goes out with one of our own drivers, who knows the route and is responsible for the load until it is delivered. We do not hire out vehicles on their own.

Tell us immediately and we will investigate the same day. We ask that you check and confirm the condition of goods at both loading and unloading, because a signed note at both ends makes any claim straightforward. For high-value consignments we recommend arranging separate goods insurance, and we can point you to the right people.

Yes. Livestock transport needs a different kind of vehicle preparation, more ventilation, and a slower run with rest stops. Tell us the number and type of animals when you book so we send the right vehicle rather than a general goods truck.

We do. The run to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka is one of our regular private-car bookings, and we plan the departure time around your check-in rather than your flight time. Book a day or two ahead where you can.

Need a vehicle this week?

Send us the route and the load and you will normally have a rate back the same day.
